Yes! The ADARAC™ Truck Bed Rack System fits F150s with 5.5' beds. What model year is your truck?

2) How long does it take to uninstall/reinstall the Adarac system once it has been set up the first time? I ask this because I don't want to keep the rack on all the time, just when needed. On my old truck I had a rack system and it impacted gas mileage and added wind noise at highway speeds.

Thanks!
1. Here's an F150Forum thread (start at post #9) that shows the steps one customer took to install an ADARAC with a Peragon cover.

2. Not very long at all. You can remove the uprights and crossbars in a few minutes just by loosening the bolts and removing the rack.

The ADARAC, while I am sure it is a nice product, is a little more than I need. I need to take the canoe a few times during the summer, and don't need a rack besides those times. not to mention I don't want to cut into the front stake pocket of the truck.

Before I purchase, have you guys seen any other tonneau covers that don't use rails?

Thanks!
Well, OK. I don't think I should argue Semantics.

Thanks for considering our rack.

That's exactly what I ended up doing for the reasons you listed above.

Of course. Thanks for the information.

Now I just need to figure out in-bed storage. My original plan was to forego the tonneau and get a weatherguard saddle toolbox. Then when I decided that I would want a tonneau, i was thinking a chest might be better. Looking at the Extang Solid, it looks difficult to access a chest while having the tonneau on, even if folded up. Extang doesn't make a toolbox version for the 5.5 bed. I thought about the wheel well swing out boxes, but they look pretty flimsy and I am not sure that they would work with the latching system of the extang.

Everything is a compromise and hopefully I can find the right combination for what I am looking for.

Looks expensive if you have to get the tonneau with it. Found pic of a DIY version for us poor guys.

well, i need a tonneau anyway. At the moment, this seems like the best way for me to go. It also comes with the BAK box for storage... but I think i still may want to get a weather guard chest instead so I can be sure everything is secure.

I'm thinking about getting the Adarac racks. But I also want a low rack setup. Can you please share what you did for this? Also, what do you mean about the pockets needing to be cut?
Thanks!
