Default Tires for Level Kit

Hi guys,

I am trading my beloved 2011 Eco, for a 2015 5.0L at my Dealer! I had a front end level and larger 18" tires on my old 2011. I am going to level the 2015 right off the bat, and want a larger tire, to fill the gap. The new truck has 275/55/20's on it. I am not familiar with upsizing 20's. For now, I plan to keep the stock FX4 wheels. Can anyone who has done a front end level and has 20" wheels, give me an idea of what size you went up to, to give a fuller look? I am planning to stay with BFG KO2's like I have on the 2011. Thanks for your help!

I had the same tires for about 300 km's before selling those and putting on KO2's 285/65/20's and 2" level.

That looks awesome!! It's a spitting image of the truck I am getting, tuxedo black FX4!! So just going from a 275 to a 285 was better as it gives you a bit wider tire, as well as jumping in height from the 55 to the 65? Looks fantastic!

Thanks, I'm happy with it. That's almost a 35" tire. 34.6" to be exact. Out of all the AT tires I've tried this is the only tire I'd buy again.

Do you still run with those KO2s @ 285/65/20? If so, towed anything and any issues with that? Wondering if the extra weight of towing a travel trailer could cause rubbing.

Yes, Im still running them. They have 36000 kms now and still look like new. I only tow a light boat and ATV trailer but no problems at all. She still gets up and goes when I want to pass.

What was your gas mileage on stock tires and what is it on these new ones (with proper adjustment of odo/speedo)?

I had the BFG's on my old Colorado and they are great, great tires. I guess mine were KO's and these are the sequel.
