2018 F150 STX 2wd. I’m ready for new tires and trying to figure out what the best option is. Mostly city driving.

 

For strictly city/highway I would recommend the Michelin Defender, Nitto Dura Grappler, Toyo Open Country HT, Sumitomo Encounter HT, etc....

 

I’m a fan of Continental Tires. Their Terrain Contact comes in two flavors. Highway tread and AT.

They are reviewed and tested well on Tire Rack. I’m planning on a set for my 2019, probably before winter.

I've been running on Continental Cross Contact tires for about 60k miles. Tread life is good. Ride is smooth and quiet. I find the tire market looks a bit different every 3 or 4 years that I need tires and I need to start research from scratch. But I'll start by looking at Continental tires again when it's time. I have zero issues with mine.

For your stated general use and 2wd, you don't need such aggressive tires.
Take a look at Firestone LE3. Quite highly rated.

 

Michelin Defenders on all of my 2wd F150's. Great mileage and performance.

 

if you want something all terrain but not too aggressive id look at Falken Wildpeak AT3W. i just got a set and very impressed so far
