Default Tire Size

Sorry if this has been discussed, i searched but could not find anything!

i have a stock Lariat 2018 with 275/55/20 tires, i wanted to upgrade to something a little bigger on the stock setup, is that possible? i was thinking 275/65/20 or 285/55/20?

Thank you!

Either size will fit just fine.

275/65/20 would look better than 285/55/20 IMO

I run 285/60/20 on my 2017, I don't know if you would get a 285/65/20 on stock without it rubbing. Would likely need a level.

I think my 275/60 look great on the stock suspension. A lot of the tires over the factory size are E rated and maybe you’d want to avoid or research that.

You can go up to about 33" if you can deal with occasional rubbing (hitting a bump at full lock). Add a leveling kit to comfortably clear that up front with less rubbing. A simple spacer kit for 1.5"-2" of extra height is only about $100, and can be installed at home or for under $200 of labor at a shop. You'll enjoy the additional ride height without taking a substantial hit on fuel economy compared to a full on lift kit.

Heres my Lariat Screw with LT275/6520 on stock suspension with no level. I have no rubbing whatsoever. I probably lost about 1-1.5mpg and I did recalibrate my speedometer via Forscan. Now that and my mpg are right on the money. It's a truck so I dont care about the gas mileage anyway. Plus it's not my daily driver. I only have 4600 miles on it and I've owned it for 6 mos.

There is someone on here that's running a 285 6520 on a stock level and no rubbing. It is about 6 lbs heavier than the 275 65s and a half inch taller.
