Default Tire Load Range

Hi , my 2018 OE tires need replacement. I’m looking at the Falken Wildpeak. Seem like they have a few different load range. From SL , XL to D1. Anyone of you have any experience with those tires. I have a tires size of 275/55/20. And I barely tow.

if you don't tow then I would stick with a SL. I run a cooper AT in SL on my truck and still tow up to 6k on occasion.

If you do not tow a lot and carry some weight in the back, I would recommend the XL. It retains the P-rated tire comfort and allows you to air up to carry extra weight. However, it really depends upon the size or more importantly the sidewall profile. A C-E tire works well for profiles 70 or higher because it prevents the truck from understeering in turns with stiffer sidewalls.
