Tire Advice Requested
Folks,
I bought a 2016 F-150 King Ranch, 4WD, 5.0.
It's still under the 90 day "return for any reason" warranty, and I have an extended warranty.
Here's my issue - it came with BF Goodrich K02's.
Great tires! The problem is, all 4 have flat spots.
I took it back to CarMax and they won't replace the same tires, they will replace them with Goodyear Wrangler Adventure All-Terrain with Kevlar.
By looking at reviews and ratings, it's an inferior tire. Same price!
They won't replace with the K02 they claim because it has to be a T speed rated tire, K02's are S speed rated. This is the difference between 112 mph and 118 mph.
What should I do? Let them replace them, then immediately remove and sell as a used tire?
Are the Goodyear's really a good tire and I should just live with those until they need replacing?
I really, REALLY like the K02's, and have no experience with Goodyear.
Thoughts?

I've got the Wranglers on my truck as they were the stock tire. They are okay, but nothing spectacular and I've used them all year. I've got about 70,000 km [~43,500 mi] but I will need to replace them before next winter. I will not be buying them as a replacement but would run them again if I got some for a really good deal.

I guess it depends on how far we live from each other. (I'm near Frederick, MD)
CarMax won't be installing the till Friday

Many people don't actually like KO2's anymore, so you may be further ahead taking the free tires.
Note, don't go to Costco to buy your tires next time because they too have requirements -what you want may not be available for your truck, -this is not an isolated Carmax thing.
Couple points to clarify... I haven't bought tires yet It came with K02's, CarMax is replacing with the Goodyear's for 2 reasons... 1. The flat spots. 2 They claim "we shouldn't have sold you the truck with the K02's on it because it has to have a T speed rating.
I've been driving on the K02s since January 5th...
I love them and don't find them noisy.
They did amazing in the snow, and fantastic on dry and wet highway as well
Im leaning towards keeping the Goodyear's until they wear out
I don't think the Goodyear's are LT rated though...

You can do either one just as well as the other.
