Hey guys, I'm installing a livernois tune on my 2015 3.5EB this week. Beyond excited to see how it drives after tuning! I've never installed a tune before so I thought I'd reach out and ask for tips from those who have tuned their trucks. One thing I've heard is never tow with a performance tune because it can cause damage to the transmission. If there are other things like that I'd really like to know! Thanks in advance.

 

I had my 2012 3.5 Ecoboost tuned.. ran a canned tune from edge and I would run the Level 3 92 octain tune... called edge and they said it was fine to tow.. the truck would be safe withing the manufacture rating... not sure about Livernois

 

I have also read if you are reverting to stock before a dealer visit, do so and put a few hundred miles vs. doing so in the dealer parking lot.

 

Livernois specifically states not to tow with their performance only tune.

Yes it is. I ran a 93 performance on my 5.0 for 20,000 miles before I did any other mods
