Default Tips and Tools for Oil Changes?

About to do my first oil change. Seeing what tips tricks and tools yall use that make this job easier. I have a 19 3.5.

Try looking up a video on youtube. Might be your best bet. I'm no help, I have the 5.0
Get some race ramps. Makes it easier.

I did my 13 FX2 3.3 one time and after that I took it to a shop. I'm not even going to do the oil in my 2.7 18....not worth my time if it was as much as a PIA as the 13 was. By the time I did the work and paid for the oil and filters the price difference wasn't much. Not to mention disposing of the oil and oil filter.

Definitely ramps make more room to work, as well as angle the engine/pan back more.
If you have the plastic pan, you might consider a Ronin https://roninfactory.com/products/fo...-ronin-factorydrain plug ( for the next change). Controls the gush nicely, but takes a few more minutes to drain out completely.

6 -6.5q oil, new filter, 8mm socket on a 12v impact driver, ramps, creeper and a 5 gallon bucket. 15 minute job, 10 minutes if you don't have a beer while the oil drains.
