If I were to hit someone at night, it would have nothing to do with my tint. I can guarantee that.

Since you have no experience your opinion of safety is irrelevant.

Your guarantee means nothing since it is virtually impossible for you to back it up.

Additionally its its not an opinion, it is a fact. Reduced light means reduced visibility. That's common sense.

You are the one with the opinion. One that could and would not stand up in a court of law.

I can guarantee I won't hit anyone because of window tint. That is 100% factual.

The same argument can be made for pretty much any vehicle modification... without actual proof, nothing will stand up in court.

What you're failing to either comprehend or admit though, is that the simple fact that you have 20% tint on your windshield will allow whoever you may hit and their attorney to have a field day in court with you. Your tinted windshield has "negligence" written all over it.
Your opinion is wholey irrelevant...the law and the lawyers will be all that matters if you were to hit someone. The simple fact is, you would lose in court. Depending on your assets you could lose big if you were to really hurt someone.
One of my close friends is a well known Houston attorney and also a car buff. We've discussed this exact scenario...any attorney would make mincemeat out of you in court. It's an illegal, negligent and indefensible mod. My guess is your guarantee to not hit anyone is youth speaking, I honestly hope you never have to hear a judge give his opinion on the matter.

To your needed proof. A simple display with a clear piece of glass next to a tinted one will be all the proof anyone needs.

I also don't live my life about being scared of being sued.

A good lawyer could've proved my truck is too high, a lawyer could prove pretty much anything against someone who isn't familiar with the laws. However, I do know I'm breaking the law.... but since I have a clean driving record, drive slow and not agressive nor do I text and drive... I think I'm on the safe side of not hitting anyone.

Like I said before. A good ceramic tint has unbelievable visibility. I even posted a picture a few pages ago and the dude couldn't tell I had tint on it. Lol

It was 170 and some change. 100 for the windshield and 60 for the front two windows (plus tax.)

I don't think it is ceramic.

Meh. I can always take it back, but I think it'll be fine for me.

no because i used 80%. you don't need the dark tint to get the uv and heat benefits of tint if you use ceramic.

i had the front driver and passenger done in Llumar CTX 15 and the entire rest of the truck including the roof done in Llumar AIR 80

Llumar CTX Window Film
What Are High Performance Window Films?

With over 50 years of experience in the engineering of window film, Llumar has presented us with their CTX window tint. Outstanding performance, clarity and longevity give CTX an edge over all other ceramic films on the market. If you are looking for a film that delivers the total package, then CTX is it.

Pros:
• Superior heat rejection
• Good for looks and privacy
• Over 99% UV protection
• Non-metallized, non-reflective
• National Factory Backed Warranty

Goals Achieved:
• Excellent performance
• Good for looks and privacy
• Great for “matching” factory glass
• Glare reduction
• UV protection

Llumar AIR Window Film
Do Window Films That Are "Light" Filter Out Damaging Rays?
Llumar’s AIR series window tint is the perfect option if you’re interested in a glass “coating” that will give you protection and performance without darkening your existing glass. These films are ostensibly clear but give you unmatched heat rejection and UV protection. Most popular for windshield and sunroofs; these films can actually improve the driver’s visibility by eliminating up to 20% of the sun’s glare.

Pros:
• Superior heat rejection
• “Clear” shade maintains stock look
• Over 99% UV protection
• Does not impede night vision
• National Factory Backed Warranty

Goals Achieved:
• Excellent performance
• Glare reduction
• UV protection

It's just the way it is...whether you like it or not.
agree with you that it will restrict night time vision. It as far as ruining you financially and insurer dropping you? News to me. Show me the case precedent or statutory reference. The insurer will cover the claim every time.
