Default Time to upgrade?

I have been thinking of upgrading from my 2011 to the new body style. Last summer i began noticing my cab corners
and the rear bumper sensors starting to show signs of rusting.

My question is with the new aluminum body will i not have to worry about cab corners rusting out ect.? Im aware the bumpers
are still steel but other then that the rest of the body panels should not rust like a steel body? I was also told the cab corners
in the alum. bodys are plastic, is this true?

Are there any known issues with the new body design since coming out in 2015 to look out for?

I don’t think the cab corners are plastic. Maybe just a plastic piece to keep chips at bay. I got a 2017 F150 because my previous trucks had started to rust. In theory the aluminum can corrode, not rust, but I don’t thinks it’s been an issue.

There are no issues with the typical rust areas on the aluminum body’s as they don’t rust. I don’t believe cab corners are plastic as the complete cab is aluminum except the firewall is steel.

The inner part of the lower rear cab is aluminum. The outer piece is plastic.

Good time to sell, IMO. On my '05, once rust began to show in the cab corners it really got worse quickly. I was surprised how little time it took for all kinds of rust to appear once I started seeing it.
