Great run for a stock truck with just a tune, did you run the 2012 truck stock with his tune if so what did it run?

You know what's crazy, my bone stock 2007 Tundra 4x4 Screw 4.30 gears ran 14.42@98. Those Tundra's are pretty stout, probably the only truck on the road that can hang with a stock 3.5 ECO. But you put a tune on that Eco & it's game over. However if you bolt the stock TRD Supercharger on the Tundra & it's game over. I love how far truck technology has come. Not only do we take trash to the dump, we drag race on the weekends....lol

This is straight from Consumer Reports test of the F150.... seems to be a lot of disparity.... like a second?

Very impressive numbers.

Let's stop with the the SSI bashing. We don't need that.

Instead, lets start with some more bashing, by me....please please don't start off a description of a truck with "bone stock" and then follow it by "91 Octane tune...etc" Its a bit confusing and contradictory.

Once again, I am very impressed by the numbers!

Yes, both the 11 & the 12 ran 14.57 & 14.58s boosted stock. This '15 did a 14.08 stock. Would do 14.43s with idle launches. With a tune in the '12 it did a best of 13.35, (it's in the 1/4 mile thread). I tried different exhausts but they didn't help at all, just made more noise, in fact when I did the 4" catback it actually slowed a little.

StevL,

I wonder what the conditions were? Or the drivers? When I did the 14.08, my truck had low miles & conditions were far from ideal. I'm sure other '15s will do low 14s also.

Yes, there's a guy at one of the local tracks who has one with a supercharger & I've seen it in the high 12s.

I don't see the problem, I wanted to show the truck is stock, the next sentence say it has a tune. Stock truck with a tune. I guess this is a bashing thread, sorry!!
