Ticking at start up
2015 F150 XL 2.5L non turbo vacuum line to air intake was off and i 90% it’s the vapor canister valve vibrating but not the intake manifold and no DTC it’s just making the ticking from the center of engine in the front
My 2016 F150 4x4 won’t start on two occasions. It got towed in and the battery was 3 & 1/2 years old and was replaced by my local Ford dealer.
it ran okay afterwards.
Then it stranded me at the grocery store full of food. I disconnected the negative cable when I heard a clicking sound from the starter area when I opened the hood. I reconnected the cable and there was no more clicking. It started and I drove it with no problems.
Some time later it stranded me again at the store. A Ford Service Writer went there later and was able to drive it the short distance to the dealer. They’ve had it for over a week and said they started it maybe 30 times and can’t duplicate the problem. They took it for a few test rides with my blessing.
When it doesn’t start the dash lights up with all the warnings, like coolant issue, parking brake, etc.
We are stumped. It had the 2.7 eco boost with about 38,000 miles. It has never cause any problems for me, and a resonator was replaced by the dealer recently, No other work done of any interest, except the remote starter when I first got it.
