Default Throwing Codes

I posted earlier about the egr cooler pipe failure we ran into that melted the hose running to the front of the driver side turbo. We had it repaired. After picking up the truck, the CEL came on and after a while went out. This has continued daily. I've read and reset the codes twice and have had the same results both times.

Truck is 2020 XL 4WD with the 2.7. A bit over 120k miles. The above mentioned repair is the only thing we've had to do to the truck other than oil changes and tires, so no history of failures to add to the puzzle.

Any thoughts as to whether the converters are starting to fail or just a bad 02 sensor?

P0420 - Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)
P2240 - 02 Sensor Positive Current Control Circuit/Open Bank 2 Sensor 1

We're considering trading this one in at this point but not sure if it's going to happen right away and just trying to understand what we may be getting into cost-wise for repair.

Thanks in advance.

The code needs to be read when it's present to know what the issue is.
Clearing any code does not fix anything.

I'm aware clearing codes doesn't fix anything as any sane human being would be. I cleared them in an attempt to establish a pattern. Regardless, we traded the truck in today for a '23 with a 5.0 so while I appreciate the "input" it's not a problem for us any longer, and yes, we disclosed the behavior to the dealer.
