I have a 2017 f150 with a 5.0l, every time I stomp on it when passing it drops from 6th gear down to 2nd. Has anyone else had this issue and if so what was the fix.

 

There’s probably nothing wrong. It would help to know what speed your having this “issue”. If it’s doing it at 80MPH and nailing the rev limiter it’s an issue. If its doing it at 45 and accelerating through the gears after down shifting it’s normal.

 

The problem occurs when I'm doing 30,40,50 even 60 mph, the **** off is it will drop down into 2nd and not shift, it will just rev to 4500rpm. As soon as I let off the throttle it will start shifting again. Even out of the hole if I floor it it won't go past second gear.

 

Did you ever get this resolved? Similar issue for me.
