Hey everyone,
I have the 2018 super crew short box with the super custom bendy dash, ridiculous auto stop/start lose oil pressure gizmo, "performance robbing" 3.31 gearing, slush-o-matic 10 speed and ultra desirable 5.0 2 stroker and guess what??
I still love this thing and no I would not buy a different brand... I am doing the oil test, likely getting the new 5.0 4 stroke installed once it fails the oil test, waiting for the dash TSB to be re-activated and learning how to turn off the auto BS gizmo and set the transmission to sport kind of like a pre-flight check to overcome the weird shifting programming in normal mode.
The engine has (and I assume the new one will have) tons of power, the "performance robbing" gearing is giving me amazing highway mileage (I pictured it like big rig gearing, they lope along if they want to on highway and have 12 other gears if they need to pull harder) will get the dash fixed and will continue to enjoy what i feel is the best seating position and room for me out there...
Yeah she cost a lot, yeah they could have done better but they are stepping up and fixing the issues, I am very comfortable, the rest of the chassis likely won't break (take a look a Chevy rear springs compared to ours and tell me how great they are) and i still can get 8l per 100km (I swear I saw near 30 mpg on the screen one day when I took a long relaxed drive north) when i can convince myself to lay off the throttle!
So, thoughts? Yeah I have a few...
Still like it...

I stand by my point its unacceptable to spend $40,000+ on a vehicle and have it dash warped and still be a known issue, and continue to manufacture with defective parts and sell to customers. Its a slap in the face. A dashboard should be the simplest of parts to get right. Same with some of the other small quirks. Yes every brand has their issues and blah blah blah, but Ford's slogan is "built ford tough" but they can't get a dash board correct?
