Default For those with a 2017 3.5 Eco with 10 speed...step inside

Hey all

Now that the 2018's will be along in a few months, I was wondering from you guys (or gals) with the 3.5 eco and the 10 speed:

1) What kind of real world MPG's are you seeing and with what rear end gearing?

2) Have you had ny issues with either the 3.5 Ecoboost or the 10 speed transmission? If so, please share.

They have a truck in the color I want at a local dealer, but its an ECO and I was reallly wanting a V8. I still may look for a V8, but I'm just looking into all of my options.

Thanks

1. My lifetime is 15.3 with 4.10 rear. Lots of in town and remote starts. 91 octane.

2. No issues. It's solid and tons of power.

They gave you 4.10 with a 10 speed? Was that special order or do they offer that.

Scrappy has a 2017 Raptor, that's why he has 4.10 gears and the 10 speed. Also the High Output 3.5L EB

Scrappy has a raptor

I have about 2500 miles so my MPG probably isn't at it's broken in rate but my last tank was 17 of mixed driving. I'm usually the fastest on the road, certainly at accelerating so that's pretty good. I ha e the 3.55 rear. On a pure highway trip I got 21.6 @ 78 MPH IIRC.

I like the transmission. Sometimes I think I feel a harder than usual downshift while coming to a stop but I can't put my finger on it. No legitimate complaints.

Looks like I was wrong.

Worth noting that comparing to a Raptor is also not worthwhile-totally different beast that truck....

3.55 gears. Mixed driving. 6800 miles. Averaging about 16.5 mpg. Absolutely love the transmission and engine.

Be aware, Ford will be using the 10 speed with the '18 F-150. If you want the combination, you might want to wait.
