Default Third Brake Light LED OEM conversion Issue

I have a 2017 xlt sport 2.7 eco and I tried to replace my halogen 3rd brake light with an OEM Led one, I sanded the ribs off like the how to on here says and plugged it in but got nothing. The light is new, but no power. I plugged the old one back in to see if it was a blown fuse or something, but the old one works fine. Any idea or help would be awesome.

thanks
Erik

Why not just repace the bulbs with LED's? Easy and looks good.

Default Replaced with LED's

I did the same as MLG1998 - just replaced Halogen with LED's. More light, less heat from Halogen.

Lol...I thought he was talking about bulbs, not the whole assembly... Yeah, I just ordered LED bulbs...maybe $30 and I have spares. Some of them need to be rotated 180 if they don't light up to get the right polarity.

not rotating the bulbs or assembly 180, rotate the connector. The polarity ribs needed to be cut off.

I cut the ones off the top. Do I need to do that one the bottom as well?
