Thanks for all the responses! The ride quality was a concern of mine. I need to go test drive for sure. I know the 250 is overkill, as I don't tow much at all, but I really like the look of the 250 and I'm a sucker for low end torque.

Thanks again guys.

I would NOT recommend the diesel. If you don't tow heavy and often or run at high speeds for long periods of time you will likely run into emissions issues. Clogged EGR coolers. DPF filter clogging. Constant regens. If you get a 250, for your use, get the gas engine.

The new 250's are gorgeous. I caught myself starting at one at the dealer the other day. I just don't want to pay extra for a much worse riding truck, and I do tow a lot.

I was at the Dealer yesterday, and the Mgr. that ordered my Truck walked over and pointed out 2 2017 Superduty's. He said they have the same Cab/Interior as the 150.

The SD with the Diesel requires 4WD due to extra weight in the front, Diesel cost about the same as Premium gas, oil cap. is double a gas engine. Also have to have Blue Def that feeds into Fuel for Emissions...Expensive additive.

If you tow/haul heavy loads, it is worth it, a Diesel likes to be worked.

I know several people that have 250/350's... Running down the Interstate unloaded, they get around 18 mpg. average.

The F250 is a great truck. With the diesel, you can lift it and still tow and get decent mpg. You will spend more on oil changes and fuel filters. Life is short. Get what you want.

Have you looked into a f250 gas? They aren't much more expensive as the f150 and IMO they are tougher. If you do any dirt roads I wouldn't get the F150. I have one and it' a POS. The f150 is so light weight now that its more a car than a truck. If you want a real truck to last get a f250.

Be sure you drive one back to back with a 150... the 2017 is a completely re-engineered vehicle. You can't compare the ride of a pre-17 to the new model at all, and they are IMHO way more comfortable than any previous SD... They build these at the Kentucky Truck Plant about 3 miles from where I live and they are hauling them out of here by the freaking truckload.

My brother-in-law and I have a collection of muscle cars and we haul enclosed trailers. My F150 does a nice job, but I'm seriously considering upgrading to the new 250 when it comes time to replace it.
