I'd like to add a tag-on question both for myself (also an STX) and the OP. My STX came with the hitch but not the tow package, so no transmission cooler. I'm assuming this effects the distance and weight of what can be towed. Can anyone expand on that - How much (if any) would you stay under your trucks rated towing capacity if you didn't have a transmission cooler?

Surely you aren't burning or worse cooking over treated lumber.

Sorry bout that. I think it reads that my max payload including passengers should not exceed 1643lbs.
The GAWR was --Rear-3350lbs Front 3150lbs I don't know how to read that into weight distribution
for a TT though. Too dark now or I'd go look for the tongue weight rating.

My vote is for toy-hauler as well, otherwise you'll be close to your payload limit just carrying the ATV in the bed, along with all the passengers, etc, not including the trailer hitch weight itself. These trucks can tow alot of weight, but they're limited by their payload. Keep as much weight as possible in you're trailer, and the light stuff in your bed, and you should be fine.
If it's just you, the wife, and couple of dogs and the ATV, maybe look into a model like this:
https://www.jayco.com/products/toy-h...uper-lite/209/

I'm not saying that exact model is for you, but something along those lines?
