It's the setting for the wobbler shaft.

This is how the thingamajig works. When the green arrow is pointing up that means the truck is happy and when it points down it is starting to become depressed. In order to keep the green arrow pointing up you need to rub and caress the shifter. Slowly rub the buttons on the side of the shifter with your thumb and index finger. You will soon notice a sudden increase in performance. Please note that this should not be done on a busy street or on a highway. Not only could this be a distraction but the lack of paying full attention to the task at hand could result in a loss of required boost.

If people didn't ask the dumb questions that Google search wouldn't return any results. Now if somebody Google's the green thingamjig on the 2015 F-150 they will not be disappointed.
