Default There needs to be a recall

There needs to be a recall on our trucks for the freezing windshield washers and door latches. The dealers all seem to be baulking on performing the TSB'same. My dealer was a huge pain in the ***, kept saying they can't fix my truck until they actually see them freezing. Why can't they take our word that it's happening? What if you live in the south? I guess you can't drive your truck up north then, right? This is B.S.

i don't understand why i dealer would not want to do it... here at my dealership i believe their OOW shop rate is $110/h and Ford pays them $90/h for in warranty work. You'd think they would be all over that.

Complaints have to be filed before any action will take place, I imagine Ford is looking at the issue but the dealer refusing repair for a known issue is something I dont like hearing.

The freezing issues should absolutely be a recall. When is doors not latching not considered a safety issue???

Video the issue so that they can not say you didn't document it.

They choose not to move forward with the TSB, contact ford directly.

What's the point in telling us there needs to be a recall? It not like we can do anything about it. If you want to be heard then you need to voice your opinion directly to Ford and not a forum on the Internet.

It's been posted above, everyone affected needs to submit a report at the NHTSA site

This is how the false hits from radar cruise got fixed

Because forums work. Ford knows when a topic becomes very popular on forums and social media. This is the biggest F150 forum that I'm aware of. Believe me, they know.

It's because warranty work hours are cut.

Ex. When i worked for Ford, a job that was normally 2.0 hours, was 0.5-1.0 under warranty.

So yeah it pays more per hour. But you actually make less, due to way less hours.
