If your truck has the electronic parking brake, you can apply the e-brake while stopped and it will disengage when the accelerator is pushed. A poor man's version of hill assist and similar to stopping on a steep hill with a manual transmission using the hand brake.

Just keep in mind that the e-brake will not keep the brake lights on, as the hold function does.

I was wondering if the brake lights stayed on when i enabled this feature on my 2024. I get worried when i see a car approaching from behind as ive never confirmed if the brake lights are on so i'll usually step on the pedal again until they stop.

If you're not brake torque launching with your left foot on the brake, you're not really launching.

If you're using a brake hold function, or Ford's adaptive cruise control with stop and go function, the vehicle is applying the service brakes and the brake lights are on.
