Default Text messages through sync3

I picked up my new F150 last Friday, and received my first text today while driving. The radio was playing, and when I pushed the button to have the text read to me, I could barely hear it. The radio volume did not go down, and the text voice was barely audible. I am using a Galaxy S7 phone, full nav package with sync 3. Is this normal? Do I have a setting wrong somewhere? On my 2014, the radio volume would shut off, and the text would come out fine.

Make sure your B/T volume on your phone is turned up. And that the volume for the text is also turned up.... it's separate from the radio volume

Correct - same with NAV - when it starts to speak the text (or nav instructions) adjust the volume using steering wheel buttons (I'd guess the **** on the head unit would work as well).

I think, but not sure, that Nav volume and text volume are independent from each other

I have the same issue with my 2016 that I just picked up. Worked perfectly fine on a 2015 I traded in, now I can't hear the text volume while the radio is playing . When the radio is off the volume **** works for the text but when the radio is on you can't raise the text volume . I sent a PM to the tech people monitoring these threads And the response I got was use the volume **** I again explained to them that won't work and they have yet to respond back. Not a lot of help there!
