Default Temperature stuck sync 3

So my temperature has been stuck at 78 degrees for a couple of days. It has been 100 degrees and it just continues to show 78. I did a master reset and that didnt work. Went to Celsius and back to F and nothing.

Any help? Thanks.

Edit, google tells me it might be a sensor located on the radiator. Gonna check it out when i get out of work.

Try checking the ambient air temperature sensor, that should be visible in the center bottom of the front grill. They fail sometimes, though generally the temp bounces to a negative temp reading, like -40, when they start to fail. Mine started acting up when it got blasted by water in a car wash. I ended up getting the sensor replaced under warranty. And, I ended up filling the connectors behind the bottom and top of the grill with di-electric grease.

Did you figure this out? My temp yesterday stuck at 18C for most of the day and then finally jumped to 23,25 and 27 on my drive home. Problem for me is that I think it affects the A/C performance on Auto. Please let me know.

Thx

When mine acted up, it first started going to the error limit, then was reading lower temps on hot days.

In the end, it wasn't my temp sensor, but rather a bad connector cable from the top to the bottom of the radiator, with an intermittent connection. Cable replaced, and readings are now accurate - plus best yet, the AC is working properly on these hot days.

I had this happen to me a while back. Made the AC not work correctly since mine was showing way less than the outside temp. Plus I was out of state working which didn't make it any better. The sensor is located behind the grill. Unplug this and disconnected the battery. Once I hooked everything back up it worked perfect with no problems since.
