Has anyone bought a Lariat (or even upper trim) with the technology package and not necessarily want or need the "Lane Assist"? I know about the button next to the gear shifter. When you press that button, will the "Lane Assist" stayed turned off permanently? Or does it kick back on every time you start the truck?

It won't come on unless you turn it on. Or accidentally bump it which is possible.

 

I have it, never use it. It will stay off untill you manually turn it back on.

 

Mines mostly off, Just hit the button when you wnat it,I use it now and then, mostly only on long highway trips, (Thats what it is good for) On maximum assist, It works quiet well.
