Default Tapping in lights for headache rack

i am installing a headache rack with tail lights and reverse lights. I need to figure out a way to tie these in without the truck thinking a Trailer’s hooked up. I prefer to tie into the trailer plug since it’s already fused where as the tail lights are not designed for the extra load on the circuit.

i am quite good with electrical but I still have a hard time bringing myself to cut up a harness on a new truck no matter how good the connections are they can easily cause corrosion down the road

has anyone tried using the trailer harness to trigger relays is the draw enough to trigger the trucks trailer mode

if I have to tie into the taillights does anyone know where I can get a T harness or the plugs to make one to hook into the tail lights
