Default Taller Tire Advice - 275/65R20?

2019 F150 Supercrew Lariat 3.5, Bilstein 5100 set @2.5", Original Goodyear 275/55R20
I know this one is beat to death and Ive looked at a few charts and other posts I referenced a while back but dont want to spend the money with regrets with rubbing or noisy tires,
Got my inspection back in January and was told my tires will need replacing next time as they have wear on the outer edges.
Ive been wanting a taller tire but didn't want to spend the money until I needed new ones so now is the time for me to be looking.
Just want a taller tire maybe 275/65R20 and looking for recommends or comments. I dont do off road much but gravel, occasional snow and dont want anything loud.
Im considering the Cooper AT3 but chart says slight rub?
Thanks for any advice. FF

275/65 will fit and fill the wheel well nicely. Several companies make an XL rated tire to save weight - i'd go with the Nitto Recon Grappler AT

I am about to do the same with my 2020 F150 Fx4. Have the original Goodyear tires going on 43,000 miles. Still have tread on them and tire personnel say I may get another 15,000 miles on then which is great due to cost of new tires. I am looking at the 275/65/20 tire and wondering if they will fit with the Rough County 3 in lift kit with the control arms without rubbing. I believe the tires should have not problems since I am only changing height of the tire and not the width.

Thanks.

Thanks for all of the responses. I had previously read that 275/65/20 wouldn't rub but the chart said "slight" for the AT3. I'll take a look at the manufacturers recommendations. The tire tech at the last inspection mentioned said there was no need to rotate them this last time due to the wear. Ive always rotated them every 6 months. I guess the wear on the outer area in the photo is indicative of some kind of misalignment from post install of the Bilstein 5100 though it was aligned after they were installed. I looked yesterday and Ive got 35,650 miles on these OEM Goodyear tires which is a bit disappointing. They probably have another 10K in them without that outer wear. He said he couldn't pass them next time. I thought about putting Goodyear's back on with the blackwall out (there is a Goodyear plant not far from me). My tire guy refuses to sell Goodyear since they wouldn't allow employees to wear MAGA hats a few years back! (it was all up in the news back then). I guess that's his way of making a statement so I respect that. I'll probably not buy Goodyear as I'm disappointed in the longevity.

This is a VERY confusing thread. The original post says he HAS 275/65-20 and wants to go taller with 275/65-20. THE SAME SIZE TIRE!
And all replies talk like there is no problem going bigger from a 275/65-20 to a 275/65-20? Am I in bizarro world or what?

the pics he posted of his current set up are NOT 275/65

he stated that he still has OE tires on which also confirms he doesn’t have 275/65.

so I just assumed he typed 65 instead of 55 since he had 65 on the brain….

I dont have a level, but I have always been partial to the 275/60r20 in an XL load rating, which I think works out to a 33x11.5r20. I just swapped from cooper At3's and went to the patagonia XT with a 40K mile treadwear warranty and 3pms rated because I wanted a little more aggressive tire this go around. The coopers did me well and to be honest I liked the coopers better than my previous KO2's.

Yes I also think he meant to say 275/55/r20 as his OEM tires.
Also, I’d worry more about your tire pressure or alignment before worrying about getting bigger tires. Correct whatever is making the edges wear first then spend the money on the new ones otherwise they’ll just wear out weird too. It could be you just need to rotate more often…
