Default Tailgate won't open!

Whether I hit the button on the fob or manually press the tailgate button, it'll un-hinge and open about half an inch but won't lower any farther by itself. I have to pull it down...
Any suggestions? Thanks

Do you have a tonneau cover? Parked facing down hill? Does it always do this, have you tried it in a different location? Have you checked the area around the hinges for debris?

I do have a tonneau cover, I'll try it out in a few different locations and see what happens...

Tonneau cover is holding it up. Mine did the same thing. Roll the tonneau up and try again.
