Tailgate won’t open

2015 XLT without power tailgate

pulling the handle does nothing. How do I fix this? Also, did ford get rid of the locking tailgate feature? I see no key hole. Or is it via the fob?

You may need to remove the panel on the inside to get to the internal bits and make sure something hasn't come loose.

There is no key hole. It locks and unlocks with the fob. You should hear a very noticeable click on both lock and unlock. When it's locked, it acts like what your describing.
