Does anyone make an aftermarket trim piece for the tailgate step? Mine comes off anytime something drags against it and the release button cap is gone. This has been the only thing I've not been happy with so far. Otherwise we love our 2016 SCREW FX4.

 

I don't know the answer to your question, but I worry about the same thing on mine. It's caught on my foot a couple of times and while I haven't damaged it yet, I feel it's a matter of time.

 

I'm surprised that someone hasn't come up with a well designed replacement piece. It hangs on pretty much anything that comes across the tailgate, and when the step is being used it snags on stuff even worse. It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't pop off and break the clips in the process.
