Default Tailgate Step Latch

This is NOT a complaint thread.

This is a I have a MINOR issue and how do I fix it thread.

My tailgate step becomes unlatched while driving. I have seen that other people have had this issue as well, how do I fix it?

I believe I was the 1st person to experience this problem on the forum. It has been intermittent for me. Seen it happen 6-10 times in the 3 months I have the truck. Haven't visited service yet as I don't see them successfully diagnosing this problem in it's intermittent stage.

I know you've labeled this as a non-complaint thread, 32V GT, but I can't help but step in and suggest that you visit the dealer when you can. Please let me know how this unfolds; I can get a case started if that's a route you'd like to take.

I completely understand not wanting to make the trip to the dealer because the concern is intermittent right now, dm930. However, please know that it is a viable option down the road, and if you do decide to take it in, I'll be here to help.

Thank you Brittany,
I am aware of that and you've been wonderful. I just thought there are so many worse things one could complain about, and I would patiently wait till my first service on the truck.
Best!
