Tailgate step

Have a 2015 xlt supercab. Does anyone know if I can add a tailgate step like factory with handle? Thx

Yes, Gotta buy a whole new tailgate.

Had the same thought as OP

The answer is clear as daylight, I was just curious why. Are the internals of the tailgate different on the flex step tailgate to accommodate it?

Yes the internals are different because the step is stored internally. It slides out of the part of the tailgate that has the plastic cover on it, what would be the top edge when the tailgate is closed.

Check an auto recycling center (also known as junk yard). I've seen them come up once in a while. Any center tied to the national system could put out a request.

Just look at an aftermarket bed step like amp or others
