Default Tailgate Protection??

Just purchased a ’15 King Ranch in Ruby Red!...an AWESOME-Looking truck! Everyone loves the color…thanks Ford! Just wondering, with this cool color, has anyone tried using Clear-Bra material to protect the INSIDE of the tailgate? I know many use it on the front but thought it would be a good protectant to the tailgate where ‘stuff’ can slide on it. The problem is…the tailgate has a LOT of peaks-n-valleys – it’s certainly not a smooth surface. I have a floor mat for the bed, and the tailgate does have a couple scratches. Just wanting to not scratch it much more that it is…Thanks for any and all comments…

Maybe put the clear bra only on the higher raised flats. It would offer slide protection, but still show the color.
I suspect you would need to have the material go down the side a bit, so sliding things won’t peel and curl up the edges of it.

Not trying to be a troll, I really am curious why you want the inside of the tailgate protected and still visible?

For me, it's not so much of a 'work' truck but more of a Costco runner! Just thinking I'd like to protect it as much as possible...after all, it IS Purdy!
The Clear Bra on the high-Sides is interesting - hadn't thought of that - tnx.

I put an OEM tailgate protector on mine. They can be purchased separately from the drop in liner.

Clear bra won't hold up. I have it on my vette. It's not good for things sliding on it. It will scratch. It's more for impact.
