Default Tailgate lock

What is everyone using for tailgate lock?
Which one seams the most secure?
My research has shown a lot of the locks are junk and not secure at all.

Your tailgate has an electronic lock that activates whenever the truck doors are locked. If it's closed and locked nobody is getting it open easily.

As far as preventing tailgate theft, a hose clamp around the right side hinge works great. Tailgate thieves work quickly and want to be gone in less than 30 seconds. A hose clamp on the hinge can cost them 3-4 minutes or more screwing around with it, greatly increasing the odds that they will move on to easier pickings. I've used a hose clamp on the tailgate of every truck I've owned since 1979 and never lost a tailgate yet.

my dad lost a tailgate on his silverado last year, another truck that same night was also hit on the street. Hope clamp will probably work, he went out and bought 2 of those fancy locks that require a special tool to remove (like a wheel lock)

That's an cheap fix for a possible costly replacement, well worth the cost.
