Has anybody put 2018 tailgate lettering on a 15-17 truck? How does it look?

 

I haven't seen anyone do that mod yet. I prefer the small F150 emblem on the left side of the tailgate.

 

It looks tacky and too busy to me. I say skip it.

 

All of the 18's I've seen have the lettering stamped into the tailgate. There's no way to 'put' that on a 15-17 truck without replacing the tailgate.
I actually like the stamped lettering, though.

 

I have mixed thoughts about the stamped in F150, I prefer nothing on the tgate except for the oval. But,since it's already there, if done with the right color stickers, it can look decent. Now on a pre-18, no. IMO, it would look on the tacky side.
