Default Tailgate Cable Slack

On my new 2015 tailgate I noticed the passenger side has tension when down, but the drivers side has slack. Anyone else have this?

Is there an easy fix or should I bring it to the dealer's attention?

Not sure about the 15's. But it's common on the 09-14 trucks. My truck has it(2010) and a few co workers too. I remember replacing quite a few under warranty while I worked for Ford, only to have them look the same.

Right. Common, no issue.

Common on many trucks, sit on it and it'll tighten up

Haha I am so glad someone asked this! This has bugged me about mine from day one, thinking the tailgate was warped somehow. Glad to know its common and I can forget about it. Now I can just worry about picking the right lottery numbers tonight!
