Mine was off 2, asked the dealer to align it (it was also out a bit on one side). They did no problem. All good now. Though later I noticed the bumber had the issue of being too far to the drivers side (1/4-12 in).....just fixed that on my own.

I just purchased a 2013 f150 lariat.It has remote start. The lock and unlock buttons work on all 4 doors but not the tailgate lock.before i call the dealer to complain that its broken i figured id find out what you guys have to say. I would think the lock and unlock buttons would work on the tailgate too. Isnt this a standard feature? The owners manual says nothing about it. Anybody have any idea how to figure out if its broken or if the truck just isnt equiped with that option.

If I understand you correctly, the same thing "happened" to me.
In my case, I thought the tailgate wasn't locking. It was. It's the auto-unlock feature which unlocks it, if the key is in your pocket.
The auto open feature is activated by pressing the button on the remote 2x.
