Hi guys - would someone with an 18 with factory spray-in liner please post a pick of your tailgate (the side in the bed). I noticed a strange hole in mine today and I am not sure if it belongs there or what. Sounds silly but it’ll drive me mad.

 

I can take a picture tomorrow, it's dark here now. But there is a hole in the tailgate for the bed extender. The hole is about in the middle towards the top. There's 4 screws that would form a box and the hole in inside towards the driver side. 1/4" hole or so.

 

Might be easier if you took the photo and we can assess from there. But, I'm willing to bet the hole is for the bed extender like mentioned above.

 

Also, one minor thing to note: If you decide to get a bed extender, the old models will fit, but the hole may not line up with the extender pin that supports it to the tailgate when fully extended with tailgate down.

It really isn't needed IMO, as I never used that pin anyways on my old one that did line up, but it may bother some folks.
