I just installed a flow thru console in my 16 XL SCREW. I would like to get Sync3 now(basically STX), and have been looking at the conversion thread. I have also been looking at 4DTech conversion kit. Kinda big bucks but no hassle...I need to message them on their product as I have dual USB in the rear of console that I cant hook up. I'd like to do non-nav with rear USB to let the kids charge, Apple carplay up front with Sync3. I have looked over the thread for the conversion to Sync3, Ebay for parts, Forscan thread, and other threads...if anyone can give me some insight it would be appreciated on 4DTech. My truck is pretty much my daily driver so it cant be down very long.
Pretty sure I need the APIM with the 2 USB ports. Looks like 4D has the adapter harness. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

 

I just did the 4DTech conversion. I'm happy with everything.
I sent them email questions on Saturday and Sunday... Received answers on both days. That impressed me.
