Anyone have a Forscan profile of a 2021 F150 they want to send me so I can try this? I have a Sync 4 APIM that I want to try in a few different vehicles.
I did this way back when the TCU swap first started, I used the a profile from a different vehicle and was able to make it detect the TCU I added to a 2017 Explorer that didn't come stock with a TCU. Just launched Forscan with the vehicle off, when it didn't detect the Vehicle, it would prompt me with all the profiles i had installed. Then i just selected the vehicle with the TCU profile and turned the vehicle on real quick. Should work for the APIM as well.
At least want to try this until the developers are able to add it to Forscan.

Have you tried a recent release of Forscan to see if it will work? According to the release notes they started adding retrofit support in v2.3.45. They don't specifically list Explorer, but it's close enough to an F150 that you could also reach out to the developers and ask it be added, chances are they'll give you a test version that will allow an Explorer to pick it up a Sync 4 APIM natively instead of having to mess with saved profiles.
The developers didn’t seem interested when i asked about it, but I might have not worded it correctly what i was trying to accomplish. I did get a Profile from an f150, but it still wasn’t detecting. Could be issues with the gateway module as well.

To better address this now that I'm at a computer, the Infotainment harness is basically this:
https://www.amazon.com/OCSTAR-Connec.../dp/B07G5BV38Y
Unless the Infotainment people know something that the rest of the various online communities don't, they are just removing pins 53 and 54 from one side of this pass-thru harness so that the connection doesn't complete, thus allowing the Sync 4 APIM to boot. You could buy the above harness and do the same thing on it, never needing to touch the APIM connector in your truck to remove those pins.

Nevermind. I figured it out. I was able to remove the RCA cable, removed the connecting cables from 53 and 54 and reused those wires and connections to replace the RCA. I should have a completely functioning harness now to remove pins 53 and 54. When I get the SYNC4 APIM, I'll try to give this a shot.

OK. I'm back. I thought I had an ACM that would work. Unfortunately, the one I have will not work with my B&O system. There was no USB port. Would anyone be able to find the appropriate part number for a 2019/2020 ACM that can do nav, sirius, and B&O?

Although this wouldn’t compare to OEM sync 4, there’s a few products out there that will give you wireless AC/AA.

this product called the magic link will give you that ability. They make another product called the Magic Box that will give you wireless capability plus some other video/app features.

The same way you do when using wired CarPlay. You go to your app, select the Ford app, and that takes you back to the main Sync screen. I have a dongle I use now and it is no different. I have just stumbled on the parts to try to make this all OEM.
