Default Sync3/Mobile App Question

Is the Sync3 system supposed to be detecting and connecting all the compatible apps every time you get back into the vehicle and start it up?

I have 4 mobile apps on my phone. Pandora, iHeart Radio, Spotify and Ford Pass. Its basically a crap shoot if all, or one or none of the apps connect when I get back into the truck and start it up.

Many times Spotify will auto connect and thats it. When I push the option to find mobile apps on the Sync3, Spotify will disappear from the Sync screen and Pandora (might) connect and that's it. Nothing else does. I go through this every time I get back into the truck.

2017 XLT Screw with NAV. I am NOT using Android Auto. Cell phone is a Samsung Note 4

Am I missing something?

No, unfortunately you're not missing anything. It's pretty hit or miss on the mobile apps connecting. Fortunately I only use Spotify and it connects the majority of the time, although overall stability isn't rock solid and I have to mess around with it sometimes for it to connect.

Exact same experience in my 2016. Pandora usually connects. Everything else very hit or miss.

I just plug in my phone as soon as I get in and use Android Auto, has all my music/radio apps and navigation and works consistently.

I've been using AA more and more as well. There are times however when I'm making multiple quick stops and don't like having to plug and unplug my phone each time - In those situations it's nice to have Spotify working over BT.

AA would really be the cats *** if it worked over BT IMO.
