Sync Update 4.2” to 8” Issue
Hello All - I’ll try to make this quick -
a while back - I upgraded my screen /APIM from my sync 3 4.2” to a sync 3 8” that I got from the junk yard.
I had it all working - replaced the hub as well - and CarPlay was working as it should.
Then - CarPlay stopped working. I decided I would try to update sync - it wouldn’t update via WiFi - so I used a flash drive.
i ended up downloading the most recent update based upon the vin off of my truck.
once the update took in the truck - it went to a 4” non touch screen in the top left corner of the 8” screen
I then found the vin from the new junk yard 8” sync - and tried updating based upon that - but it did not work.
anyway I can fix this?
