All, I took my 2015 KR in for ESP warranty work for IWE and multi-contour seats issues and was told the seats weren’t covered because the repair required the TSB harness fix (harness not covered under ESP) and the out of pocket cost would be approx. $900.00. I declined the repair went home and ordered the harnesses to fix it myself. The weird thing is I reinstalled my Sync 3 (v3.4) NAV radio (seat weren’t working with either radio before) and performed the latest update where the downgrade was performed first to install the latest version w/ 19 maps. After the radio rebooted the seats started working.

How did the reformat correct the issue when Ford said the fix was to splice in new harnesses? Also what will the fix be if they stop working again? Thanks in advance for any answers or explanation.
