I thought I had his figured out but it has come back twice now.

I never want to receive notification sounds for text messages. I have gone into the settings and changed this twice, and then confirmed it on the alerts page... yet it has come back for a second time... anyone else have this issues?

Last time it came back I credited doing some forscan mods that might have reset the notifications. But it's been silent for weeks, then today out of the blue it starts making a sound again when I get a text. And before folks say " just hit the do not disturb button when you get in" my point is there should be no reason to have to do that when a silent option is available....

Have you turned off notifications in Bluetooth settings on your phone?

 

I have an option to not show notifications. But not sure what it is referring to, and not sure that will effect the sound.

Sync is what's making the sound, and a box pops up on the radio screen.

 

I think looking at the screenshot that you attached that you have notifications turned on as the slider is green. Try pushing that slider to off.

 

Yea, I have notifications on via my phone.... but Sync is able to have text be silent via a sound option in sync. I should not have to change it on my phone when it's able to be set to silent on the sync system.
