This drives me crazy that I cannot search for hotels, fuel, etc. while driving. It was never this way. Can I get it switched back?

 

If you can get it into and to the Diagnostic mode line, find the Re-Set line.
Don't now what year and equipage you have, that depends on how to get it into that mode.
Usually have to hold operated two buttons at the same time and Waite for the screen to change to that mode.
On my 2018 it's the Disc Eject and the right side station Shift button.
