Default Sync Phone Audio Issues

2015 F150 XLT with Sync (not the touch screen type), paired my phone and it works fine hands-free EXCEPT that callers have difficulty understanding me when I'm driving. When sitting still they can hear me OK, but while driving they say my voice sounds tinny and thin and cuts in and out. I've left voicemail messages for myself and can confirm this. In all cases the callers sound great to me in the truck.

It seems apparent that the noise cancelling feature is not working correctly, and it's distorting my voice as well as sometimes muting it. Is there an adjustment for this hidden away some menu? Can the microphone location, wherever it is, be adjusted?

Interesting, my basic Sync (XL truck) works very well and people I'm calling are impressed with the audio. I do have to turn the volume up a little more than the radio volume to clearly hear the caller.

I would take it to the dealer for a look-see.

Well bumper-to-bumper should include this function, right? Nearest dealer is 75 miles away, which is why I asked here first. But if need be I'll take it in to them and just take a book with me....

Just curious, does this matter if the windows are up or down. I know I have to roll my
windows up if I'm going very fast due to wind noise.

The windows are completely rolled up, the interior of the truck is very smooth and quiet to my ears, but not knowing where the microphone is I don't know what it may be hearing....
