SYNC (NOT SYNC 3) connectivity???
Was trying to connect the wife's Kindle Oasis using the truck's sync to play audible over the truck speakers. The Surface notebook seems to try to communicate with the truck using Bluetooth, but then I get a message on the truck screen saying there are no compatible apps. The Kindle can't seem to be found at all. My wife wants to listen to audio books on long trips, which she can download to her Kindle or notebook. It seems like they should connect with the truck, since all are Bluetooth devices.
What am I doing wrong?
Bonus question; can you recommend a decent GPS that's compatible with this SYNC? I had been just using my phone, like always, but Google Maps failed 4 of 4 searches on the Oregon coast this week, leading me astray 4 times in a row. I'm thinking of using one of those mounting plates that covers the big open spot on top of the dash to hang whatever notebooks or cameras or phones I use
