Sync Hub shorted out
2020 F150 STX
Spilled a drink on the Sync USB Hub and now it no longer works I'm trying to find the replacement PN and there are so many options. Does anyone know what the correct PN is?

If I remember correct it plugs directly into the APIM so, if he is lucky it just got the plug, if not then he might of got the APIM.
I really don't think there is a separate fuse for just the HUB, I have been wrong before just not this year.

Have not tried to fix anything like this just giving you something to think about.
I would certinally be looking for a blown fuse, but some of the truck's device are protected by an over current feature, that activates before any fuse blows. As I remember on the device that I was reading about, not your USB hub, that device had the auto trip feature. Good news it would self restore after so many on off cycles, if the excess load was still there, it would trip again. The BAD news was, it only did that a few times and then it went off forever or at least till you bought a new complete module, $$. Even if you found a blown fuse before changing it or before doing anything else I would disconnect the battery, wait a while for any stored energy to dissipate, carefully look into the USB receptacle, clean it making sure it is clean of any seen or unseen residue that might cause it to re-short as you restore power again. Maybe blow it dry gently with a little compressed air, making sure its really dry before restoring power. I suspect sugar in a drink is conductive or something else. .
