hi FORD, it is almost end of year. Come on, we need v2.0 out. It is worse than obamacare rollout

So I got the 2.0 update a couple weeks ago. I have my truck pairs with my home wifi. I think I got it by selecting "update now" in the Sync3 settings. This thread then led me to order the updated USB module using Part number GC3Z19A387C. Ordered it from fastoemparts.com. At first I was told it was back ordered until November but after confirming I still wanted to order it I was told it was shipped the next day. Received it today. Installed right away but noticed that the part number on the sticker on the new part matched the one on my existing module. Of course it didn't work either. Btw the part number on the part is not even close to the one on the box. Is this normal? Old and new p/n: GC3T-14F014-88 on the actual part sticker. Is it possible I was sent an old part in a new Ford Genuine Part box? This thread mentioned the old one was blue and the updated part is white around the USB ports. So is this when lit or at rest? The bezels are white unless lit in the dark in which case light up blue then. Help!

Got the wrong one - need the one ending with B. Also, don't believe you updated to "2.0" unless yours was a late build (Aug) & came with it from Ford. No one with 1.0 has updated to 2.0 yet. (Not counting the person or 2 with friends at Ford software that got an unofficial update)

2.0 still hasn't been released. How long did the update take to install? Should be around 45min to an hour. You can also confirm you have 2.0 by looking in the about screen. Since your hub is not working, my bet is you don't have 2.0 installed.

From others that have Sync 3 v2, they've confirmed that the part listed above works with Apple CarPlay. For all of us still waiting on the update, that's not the case, but I feel confident I have the right part. The lights are white not green like the previous ones.
You probably received the v1.1 update which was pushed by dealerships when customers came in with complaints about v1.0. Other than the messages I get about unsupported USB devices every now and then, mine has worked about 10x better with my phone ever since. No more random disconnects even with USB/BT connected to the same phone at the same time.

I have to say this thread made me sad lol! I just traded in my 15 f250 king ranch on a 16 F150 and it bothers me I can't do CarPlay lol. Well looks like I'm buying a part already! Thank you for all that have replied with all the good Info.

Yes I have 2.0.
My truck was not delivered with 2.0. It delivered with 1.1. I now have 2.0. Do I need to post a picture??? I know where to find the version number. So if the "new" part ends in B and the old part is supposed to end in C then this is the opposite of everything ever used in the real world, wouldn't you think?
