Question Sync Can't Find Mobile Apps

I'm new here and did try the search threads, but to no avail. I apologize if this has been asked a thousand times. My 2016 F150 will no longer find my mobile apps. I do not have any navigation available on the screen. I have enjoyed and always used Waze without any issues. My phone connects for voice calls and texts as is normal. I have bluetooth enabled on my phone and also have hooked the phone direct by the USB port. When I "search for mobile apps" it always ends in can't find any apps. Right or wrong, I did a master reset. It's frustrating not to have navigation available. I appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

Thanks for the response. I have tried two different cables so far. I can try some more. It always worked fine with the the one, not to say it can't fail.

Next verify sync is current on software. Ford has a website, enter vin#. Next make sure phone is current on all updates, and power cycle it.

I'll check on the software via the Ford website. Been in a tech whirlwind here lately with changing email addresses on phones and internet as I'm going to starlink and they do not provide email service. Planning to work on another tech problem with my wife's CNC embroidery machine. I'll let you know when I get my Sync software checked. Thanks!

I went into my Ford account and it shows an update available that is navigation related. I connected to my WIFI and selected search for updates. It immediately came up as installing update number such and such. The graph on the sync screen showed no activity. I left it set with the ignition key on all after noon. It showed the last update check as to day. Sync still does not find my apps either bluetooth or USB connected. According to my Ford website I still have an update available so obviously it did not complete the update. I did an update several years ago using this method and it went just fine. So I guess my first order of business is to find out why the update did not download and install and how to get it to download.
On my synch screen it says I currently have Version 3.0 Build 19205_PRODUCT. The update that is available is 23219.

Sometimes the update over wifi can take days. Leaving key on, my bet it still timed out. Navigation update should cause the issue tho, and they will try and charge you. If you want that free, go to cyanlabs dot org. You can also get any other updates from there. I don't know why your apps are no showing, mine has done goofy thinks over the 6 years of ownership... just sayin next week all will be good?

This mess went from bad to worse. I connected to my WIFI and then did a search for updates. Now it will continue searching for updates with a circle spinning around and around for hours. It still cannot find my apps or provide me with navigation. I've got a bunch of things going on right now but when I get time I'll try the other website for downloads that you told me about.

I would likely do a hard reset. A few years back an update came out, crashed many systems. There was a fix, I'm pretty sure came from cyanlabs site.

Go to CyanLabs and update your APIM to version 3.4. If it doesn’t work after that, then the issue is with your hub.
